GENERAL INFORMATION
Gitzo GM4552L. The GM4552L Series 4 Monopod is a 5-section carbon fibre monopod. It is the highest model in the range, designed to safely provide lift with lower pressure and to be lightweight, qualities that are particularly effective when shooting over crowds or fences.
The GM4552L monopod is a professional solution that features a larger tube size (37.0mm top tube diameter) and eXact carbon fibre rigid tubes offer top stability even when reaching a maximum height of 190cm, keeping its weight to an absolute minimum.
The monopod also features Gitzo’s familiar ergonomic handle and a removable wrist strap for increased security, thanks to which the monopod can be hung on a belt or in a pocket.
PERFORMANCE
This monopod can safely support the impressive weight of 30 kg, but at the same time weighs only 730 g. The G-lock Ultra leg lock system makes the tubes even stronger by connecting the leg sections very firmly, protecting the joints from moisture and dirt.
The monopod features a useful, reversible 1/4″ and 3/8″ thread to accommodate various types of cameras, lenses and heads. When closed it reaches a length of only 56 cm and is easily stored or attached to a backpack for day or night excursions.
The base of the GM4552L features an innovative 50mm diameter ball-joint rubber foot that allows for smooth movements and is extremely helpful in shooting moving subjects. This foot can be removed when required and replaced by optionally supplied feet or metal studs.
